Louisville Metro Parks has started offering free fitness classes for the month of June in various parks around the city. This is to get the city moving and using the great parks that the city offers. All classes begin June 1st and end June 25th. Make sure you get out and enjoy these free programs to show the city that we are appreciative of their commitment to make this city a healthier one.
Here’s what the schedule looks like:
Cherokee Park @ Hogan’s Fountain Shelter, Mondays 6PM & Wednesdays 10AM
Shelby Park @ Picnic Shelter, Thursdays 10AM
Rubel Park @ Picnic Shelter, Mondays 7:30PM
Chickasaw Park @ Picnic Shelter, Saturdays 8AM
Petersburg Park @ Picnic Shelter, Tuesdays & Thursdays 7:30PM
Russell Lee Park @ Picnic Shelter, Mondays & Wednesdays 6PM
Joe Creason Park @ Flag Football Field, Mondays 12PM & Wednesdays 12PM
South Louisville CC @ Gym, Tuesdays & Thursdays 5PM
All fitness classes are 1 hour. Make sure you bring a water bottle (preferably an environment friendly one), as water will be provided.
